Using bigger buffers should help. I guess the auto-detecting modules don't support changing the buffering, so change the default.pa to use the module-alsa-sink, and give it fragments and/or fragment_size parameters (see http://www.pulseaudio.org/wiki/Modules ). I'd start with growing the fragment_size parameter (the default fragments value seems to be quite high already). -- Tanu Kaskinen
