You could try to set min_prefetch in the jb to 1000.

No. My platform is IOS 5 on iPhone 4S. I also tried to increase the size of
de-jitter buffer by doing jb_max=1000. I didn't see the 1 second delay
either. What should be my best practice when it comes to put artificial
delay into the audio stream?
