Hi Benny,

I have started with pjsip this week.
I?m trying to make an application to change the codec on the fly when a threshold is exceeded. The specific threshold is not decided yet, but should be the lost packet rate, or some parameter similar.
A mate has been trying to develop this application in Visual, but he has been overcome by the pressure he was suffering (at work, and at other environments).
I have read the starting tutorials of the application and I think for me should be very useful to read more thoroughly stream example (I can?t remember now the concrete name of the example, but it covers the creation of a stream and the destruction).

Talking with my mate he explained me the way to do the change (in general terms). The idea was to destroy the media stream and to start a new one with the new codec.
He said that no new negotiation of SDP was needed but I?m not sure yet.
The idea I am developing is to destroy the stream just in a silence (detected by VAD application I believe is included in your project).

I don?t know how difficult the issue could be, and I wonder if someone could help me telling the steps that should be done to develop this application.
I will spend my whole Christmas holidays fighting with pjmedia possibilities.

Thanks a lot, and congratulations for such a brilliant approach for non proprietary VoIP applications.
