PEAR::SOAP & PHP5 ?

I'd like to use PEAR::SOAP in PHP5.  Basic tests w/ PHP5.0.0b1 resulted 
in Apache segfault, so I'm assuming that there must be something that 
PHP5 doesn't like about the PEAR::SOAP code -- or one of the PEAR deps. 
  Is there a PHP5 version of this code (in CVS)?  Or does anyone have 
experience using PEAR (or other) SOAP packages w/ PHP5?
