PDO setAttribute return value

Is it my imagination, or does setAttribute return FALSE on success and TRUE 
on failure? I've tested it with getAttribute, and it definitely seems to 
work the reverse of what the documentation states.

I'm using MySQL, and I am setting the error handling.
