Postgres: backslashes and escaping

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Recent versions of Postgres (8.1 and up I believe) include a config parameter called standard_conforming_strings. If this option is enabled then backslashes don't need to be doubled in Postgres queries. I am wondering if the PHP function pg_escape_string() is aware of this option? In other words, will this function continue to double the backslashes even if it is not appropriate for the existing Postgres connection as configured? And how about pg_query_params()?
