Hello, I had a very similar problem when I was trying to incorporate this functionality. I have my development system at home with Windows XP home edition, Apache server, and PHP5 and it would just not send the email from my local machine even after changing the settings in the ini file, I know something must be missing in my home setup, I hope I will learn that later. However when I uploaded the files to my ISP, the email functionality would work and emails went through with absolutely no problem.
