This won't work, because the HOST needs to be able to access the files on your machine, which is a gross security risk, and isn't possible in this manner. The only way I can think of that you would be able to do anything useful like that would be to have an HTML page load an image using <img src="C:\images\map.gif"> or somthing like that, but you wouldn't be able to modify that image using PHP (tho you could use DIVs or something to overlay other details perhaps?)
