I have not worked with Yii . I am learning zend as its the company behind PHP . Some of my friends told yii is good one . They have tried it and is a new promising one according to them . The choice of selecting a framework is upto you . You can go for symfony if you love . The documentation is such a powerful one that any newbie can learn it .
