Hi you need to use preg_replace:
$variable is the variable containing the string.

preg_replace('<META HTTP-EQUIV=" refresh" CONTENT="0; url=http://www.redyam. com/1.html">','',$variable);

http://uk2.php.net/preg_replace

and remove that entire string from <........... .....>
