i'm not sure if what you asked is possible. but i'm aware of the fact that there are some utilities that allow you to send data to gsm modems from php scripts, let's say using http requests. i have used this method at my work place, but the server was configured by someone else, so i don't really know what was done, but i'm sure the GSM modem is receiving data through a gateway which uses http requests...
