i dont know if i quite understand your question but try this approach.
So anything else will be addressed in default

switch($_REQUEST['firstname']){
case "david":
bla bla bla
break;
case "smith":
bla bla bla
break;
default:
"Direct access to this file is not allowed"
break;
 
}
