Re: prevent copy image

As I say, the ideia of canvas, swf, etc is make more hard the access
of the full length and full code of the original image. This is
special interessanting if you are showing vectorial images as SVG /
SWF / PNG / PDFs, or really big quality imagens.

The view can yes create a jpg or bmp of what he see. But he cannot get
the source code of the vectorial image and change it.

The water marks don't make more hard some user get the images from
your web site. It's only to prevent him to publish then as maded by
himself.

If your site have something like images restricts to only some
users... Photos restrictions, Access restrict, Just Reader mode, etc.
It is very interessanting you make more hard your user get the full
access to then and after do that sell / free show with your product.

Someone can get the full content of some website and bring access to
it by free. Make this kind of restriction can make the ilegal access
to them so hard to not worth and this diference sometimes the only way
to keep the client of your user.

If you can download all the photos from the google earth you can make
a similar system. If you donwload all the photos from a pay photo book
you can show then into a free web site and make money with the
banners.

If you sell images you may prevent someone to have easy access to the
product source, this will prevent transform your client into a
competitor.

Many sites of books show then into a flash as image. You can read the
book but not can save it into your computer. After you allow the user
save it into his machine he can share it by his onw.

The flash / canvas ideia it is make something similar with images.

If your problem is just copyright maybe the most trustable way is a
legal register from your photos into your contry. If someone use it,
you can enter into a legal war.

But this will not prevent someone take then and share it for free.
Even make this hard.
