Or how about: “Performing Hypertext Preprocessor” ?

p.s. Sorry, I got the third word wrong in my initial post. My initial suggestion should have been: “Powerful Hypertext Preprocessor”.

Hi,

The recursive acronym for the name PHP is problematic, in terms of logic and finiteness. It can never be written out in full, in a finite time nor in a finite manner. For example to expand it, one would end up with an infinte sequence as follows:

PHP, PHP Hypertext Processor, PHP Hypertext Processor Hypertext Processor, PHP Hypertext Processor Hypertext Processor Hypertext Processor, ...

How would the community feel about redefining the acronym for PHP? My personal proposal for the name PHP is: "Powerful Hypertext Processor".
