Under the Options and "Under the Hood" there's an option called: "Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page load performance" I think that's what I was thinking of. That's probably not pre-fetching whole pages so much as just resolving DNS ahead of time. There still could be some pre-caching going on that you just can't control.
