Sorry, I screwed up. Because in that example, if $endingBal was
negative, it wouldn't work correctly. Update it to this:

$totChargeDiff = ($totalCharges > $endingBal) && $endingBal >= 0 ?
($endingBal + $totalCharges) : ($endingBal - $totalCharges);
?>
