The .htaccess file for phpMyAdmin says "php_flag magic_quotes_gpc Off", so I guess that means I'm okay there.

Other than that, it's specific to phpMyAdmin, so maybe ask those guys
what they did...

I joined their list through Sourceforge, but I haven't seen any mail from it, and any mail I send gets bounced back to me. I'm not sure what the issue is.

I suppose I'll have to if I can't get phpMyAdmin to behave. It's too bad, though, as phpMyAdmin is so convenient otherwise.
