RE: two small issues with php mail

I didn't say TO edit the php.ini file, but it will tell you what the setup of said server is, including compiled in pieces and smtp settings.

Are you aware of .htaccess files?  google override php.ini using .htaccess and you should get some good hits there.  But then that is probably outside the scope of your assignment.  However some professors see that as insightful, YMMV.
