I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the Zend Framework yet.....

I'm looking to do a bit of a rewrite of a large PHP application in the near future and would like to think Zend would be a good horse to back, but the fact no-one here has mentioned it yet makes me doubt this tactic!

Anyone got opinions (good or bad) on Zend that would be helpful for me (and others)?

Col.

I have played a bit with the ZF and liked it (0.1.3). I know PHPDeveloper.org is based off of it and I think the Zend developer zone as well. It has a number of prominent developers writing code for it and by the looks of the mailing list seems to have a large community. But it is still early in it's development so expect changes to it.

My prediction for the ZF - it will not fit all needs - but will be used on many of the "enterprise" sites and will be one of those things that are listed in the "nice to have" section of job postings.
