substring with numric values

["Jonas Rosling" <webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxx>]

Is there any easy way to "trim" or pick out the none decimal values in a
numric value? Like:

1,333 = 1
5,667 = 5
12,145 = 12
15,997 = 15
