What happens when you try?

Something like this should work:

<a href="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>?lang=en">English</a>
<a href="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>?lang=fr">French</a>

Then check $_GET['lang'] to use the new language var (then set it in
the session etc).
