The meaning of and "@"

[Todd Cary <todd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>]

I have not been able to find in the Online Manual the use of the "@" 
symbol as in

while ($data=@mysql_fetch_array($sqlID, MYSQL_BOTH)){

Is that a "pointer"...address of...?
