KWrite part of KDE. Notepad with Syntax Highlighting and AutoIndention.
And because it's part of KDE all the kioslaves come with. Which means editing 
sites over ftp, ftps, ssh and many others is possible.
Like the Vim guy said. DEs? who needs them :)
