When I at first confugured without "--with-pic" and then immediately with "--with-pic" I got two different libphp4.so by filesize. If you say there is no difference, what is nevertheless the difference? The question apperead since I heard somewhere that "--with-pic" is important when one is going to use PHP module with multiple Apache instances...
