As might this:
$dyn_gen_script = sprintf(
'<?php
$buffer = $_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"];
$somevar = \'%s\';
?>'
, $this->somevar );

Ahh it looks like i have to addslashes to dollar signs ! I'll try tonight cheers.
