CMS backend

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows of any existing php/mysql  
cms back-ends (no need for a front end).

I am just looking for one to dissect (for learning purposes) - and  
would prefer to keep the presentation out of it for the sake of not  
having to sort through a 1000 extra files.
