Home brew... like free stuff... stuff you don't spend money for is only equal in value to the amount spent...

Free stuff is no good.... for instance... PHP <tongue in cheek>

The PROBLEM COM library that I had was an expensive package, and was replaced by a shareware one that worked much better anyway.


The POINT I was making was that the problem is one of the crude way that Microsoft 'manage' hardware rather than one of a particularly bad design - except of cause using Windows is inherently bad design ;)
