I think you could use php function mkdir() to do this. mkdir("/path/to/my/upload_dir", 0777); But unfortunately there is big "BUT" aka Safe_mode. To use this mkdir() function, you have to disable the Safe_mode on the server :( "Note: When safe mode is enabled, PHP checks whether the directory in which you are about to operate has the same UID (owner) as the script that is being executed."
