Then there is some kind of ssh-sign function that signs a given document, but I forget its name, as I've never used it, just read the docs. I'm not super clear on the details of checking it, but that's how digital signatures WORK, so there has to be some kind of command line function for that as well. man ssh is where I would start if I was doing this.
