I tried the rpm and it throws errors that it can't find the php package required by:
php-mysql php-imap php-idap php-mbstring.

What is causing errors? When you try to install the php-mysql rpm?
If you installed php via rpm, you can find out what php rpm(s) are on your system...
rpm -qa | grep php
