RE: installing php 5.5.1 on to solaris 10 results in error during make

Indeed. Turns out that was the problem. Ldd now reports that all libs are found. But when restarting apache I get in php.error.log:

[16-Aug-2013 11:01:59 UTC] PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20121212/oci8.so' - ld.so.1: httpd: fatal: libnnz11.so: open failed: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

File is there:

The user running apache is able to access all libs (so no rights issue I think). Any more ideas?

Phpmyadmin also complains about gzip not installed. phpinfo() shows me this though:

I have no clue why it is not picking up the lib dirs.

You just showed the 32-bit linker config, try adding this path to a crle -64 -l ... .
