php-5.4.8 fails to install on Solaris 10

php-5.4.8 goes through configure fine and compiles fine, all tests are fine with the exception of two or three and I can look into those later. 

However make install fails quickly and totally : 

$ gmake install

I do not know why there is a reference to some libtool at /usr/local/build/libtool as no such file exists nor do I recall it ever existing. Is there a config error somewhere or a Makefile at fault ?  A search in the source directory can find no file anywhere with the characters "/usr/local/build/libtool" in it.
