Users how can i fix this for mysql to be configured with php-5.3.8

do you have mysql_config ?

where is that located?

could you change  --with-mysqli  to  --with-mysqli=/where/your/mysql/installation/is ? (I guess in your case that would be /usr/local/mysql/, but I'm not that familiar with slackware)
