Another kind of a review:

Many years ago I subscribed to this mailing list because I had perceived it
as a place of photography art and subscribers as some kind of artists.
There are many kinds of photography, Street, Geographical, Portraits,
Documentary, Nature, Snapshots, Actual and so on.
Not all of them are made for "Art" reason but every one of them can include
photos which are "piece of Art" .
Or, in more technical language, I can say that Photography Art has an
overlap with any kind of photography.
Nowadays, when I open this Gallery, I hope to find photos from all genres
which uphold its belonging to the field of Art.
Now, it is very difficult to categorize each photo to Art / No Art groups
because boundaries of Art are not the same for everyone.
I, across the years, heard many definitions to What Art is? I do not want
to deal with it here as it can fill an encyclopedia.
In conjunction of the above, I'll try to categorize this week's images
without any explanations. I only ask every one of you to take this as my
private
Opinion or attitude and not be hearted by it.
Remember: another viewer can see it in another light and give another
definitions.
One of my "Art" definition is "Would I be hanging this on my living room's
wall?" ( But, for example, I will not hang an image contain blood although
it can be real Art for me.)
Jim Snarski - Formation Landings: Nature, descriptive, Snapshot.
Roy Miller - Frozen Stream: Manipulate, Nature.
Dan Mitchell - Window Watcher: Snapshot, Feelings.
Lew Schwartz - Crab Apple: Atmosphere, Nature, Season, Art.
Andrew Davidhazy - Bubbles: Abstract, Art.
Emily L. Ferguson - High Tide line: Landscape, Season.
Herchel Mair - Abiquiu: Landscape, Aerial.
John Retallack - Untitled: Manipulate, Texture, Art.
Again, this is my opinion only and can be debated by others.

There is a new feature available to send comments about the individual
photographs as you peruse them online. It is a mailto link. Let's see if
this works!!

To participate in this activity send your contributions early and keeping
them near 1000 pix in longest dimension and 200Kb in maximum size. Large
images that run off the edges of average monitors are a pain. Larger is not
always better!

If you have doubts about how to prepare images just send them anyway and the
capable gallery staff will adjust them for exhibition.
