Did you check the option near the bottom of the screen for “visualize spots”? That would make a high contrast version of the image with enhanced edges to better reveal the spots.

When using the heal/spot tool (keyboard shortcut Q) the image turns black and white…like what you’d see if you activate the mask when sharpening.

For the life of me I don’t know how to get it to revert back to the regular image.

Can anyone help me out?
