Re: Help, Mounted slides to digital

There are several possibilities.

I have a D800 mounted on a Pentax slide copier that does the job for me.  I’m using an hi-res enlarging lens for the optics.

Or, you can go to a retailer (COSCO is one example) and have them do the conversion for you.

Or, there are mail-order places that can do the job.

There are some inexpensive copiers that attach to a USB port that can scan them individually – quality is a little iffy.

Just a note:  If any of the slides are duplicates made by Kodak, then they have to reversed in the copying process because Kodak did the duplicating by contact printing the slides emulsion to emulsion.  If you hire someone to do the digitizing, make sure they are aware of this issue if you have any such slides.

Subject: Help, Mounted slides to digital

I have a large number of mounted slides and want "digitize" them.

Does anyone have information on how I can do that?

Thanks and Happy Holidays
