Re: Long term not printing

The drawback of Canon is that it will not take roll paper - sheets only. Try printing 17x40” panorama prints on a Canon.

Ink2image.com sells cleaning carts and 2manuals.com sell the manual that Epson doesn’t want you to see. It shows how to do an initial fill, which flushes everything perfectly without buying anybody’s cleaning carts. The only drawback is that it only runs on a PC. I only run compatible inks in my Epsons, as they are far cheaper.

You have to replace all the machine.

I go months on my PIXMA without printing, used to print a half a dozen pages a month but since I retired it has gone down, The Canons have a changeable print head, at least the ones I've had did, if changing the cartridges does not help as Canon if the hgead might need changing, Bob.

My Canon printer has clogged jets … presumably I can try to clean or buy new head … but frustrated with the Canon and got an Epson but heads are not replaceable.
So question is: how do you make sure your jets don’t clog when the printer is not used for a long time??
