I am wondering if any printers actually print at 16 bits. I have an old
Epson R-1800 that prints at 16 bits but I assume it just dumbs down the file to
8 bits and prints it. When I asked Epson if a printer can print 16 bits they say
yes- just like in the online printer specs. But isn't the printer just
handling 16 bits by knocking it down to 8 bits?
