I agree that Jim Snarki's bird is gorgeous but  as a photograph it needs some definition in the feathers.

So my favorite is Mark's smoky/arms even though the smoke seems too busy for me.  The backlit arms are wonderful.

As for my Consort Lesson, what connection could there be between my image and a remembered feeling about undesirable bassoon lessons?  The setting, for me, is a reminder of the wonderful feeling in one-on-a-part consort of voices and viols.

Roy Miller's image raised a question in my mind since I was about to dismiss it as being too Photoshop-y. Then I realized that all of mine involved a lot of Photoshopping as well. So I have to ask where to draw the line, and all I'm left with is the well-known comment by a Supreme Court justice: I can't define pornography but I know it when I see it.  So I'll just say that his image is too Photoshop-y for me, and leave it at that -- even though I think it's creative.

This week’s style and grace winner (for me) is Jim Snarski’s Great White. It’s been a long time since I’ve been impressed with a bird, but this one is gorgeous.

Yoram’s Consort Lesson makes me glad my folks didn’t push me in learning the Bassoon front to back.

Yoram Gelman - The Consort Lesson

In addition, Lew Schwartz has a series of his photographs accessible at https://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery-10.html

NOTE THAT NEXT WEEK THERE WILL NOT BE AN UPDATE - BUT PLEASE SEND CONTRIBUTIONS ANYWAY FOR INCLUSION ASAP AFTERWARDS

Last week the counter read 30470 and when this collection was installed the counter read 30555

To participate in this activity find instructions at: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery-sub.html

NOTE 2: To facilitate contributions you may send up to 2 images in separate emails at a time but please do not send additional ones until both have been installed. Saves headaches. Send your contributions early and anything you can do to prepare the photographs so they do not require additional adjustment would be much appreciated. Especially keeping them near 1000 pix in longest dimension and 200Kb in maximum size. Large images that run off the edges of average monitors are a pain. Larger is not always better!

Please take an extra minute to abide by this request but if you have doubts about how to prepare images just send them anyway and the capable gallery staff will adjust them for exhibition.

Did you know you could have a series exhibition? Learn all about it on the instructions page mentioned above.
