Guy: You are right, without the tree...bleah. Oddly enough, the building is not a church, but a fortified storehouse.

Some comments:
Kostas: Nice. The whole pictures hangs together around the young girl: move anything, she falls; move her and the whole scene falls out of balance. Photoshop cut and piece is OK for me. The Russians used to do it all the time. Some people also removed Angela and some other lady Head of State from the official picture at the Charlie Hebdo gathering a month ago (surprisingly, Sarkozy managed to squeeze himself in...!).
Klaus: Not sure how to put the picture together. Top is OK but too much in the bottom right that I can't relate to the title.
Mark: Very nice and subtle shapes and form and light
Guy: Two days to get these three pictures, many rolls of film, under various light conditions, sun, rain, etc... Some PS adjustments for density and contrast and tonality.
Stephen: The church does not do much for me but the tree next to the door makes it all.
Emily: I love it. Strangely reminiscent of Strand's White Fence in New England.
John: Nice interaction between the bambina and the lady with the hat in the poster.
Bob: Nice scene, nice composition, would love to be there.
Jan: Ho! do I hate these portraits from 20 years ago: they make me feel my real age. Confucius once said "If we could see ourselves in the miror when we are 20 as we will be 40 years down the road, we would quickly break the mirror...". Was this a product placement picture...? -:))
Best wishes to all,
G.

Kostas Papakotas - Yellow by the Sea
Klaus Knuth - Harpers Ferry
Mark Harris - 33

Stephen Ylvisaker - Benicia Barracks Clock Tower
Emily L. Ferguson - old wire fence, Seal Cove, ME
John Palcewski - Bambina in abito rosso
Bob McCulloch - Off to Work I Go
Art Faul - Alt hænger ved De 40! (Everything hangs when you're 40!)
In case latest version does not show up properly try this copy of the gallery at: http://andpph.com/gallery.html If still having trouble make sure to empty your browser's cache!
Last week the counter read 21555 and when this collection was installed the counter read 22171
Enqueued for future installation: None. It would be great to see photographs from more members!
To participate in this activity find instructions at: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery-sub.html
Please do not send images until your last one was installed. Saves headaches. Send your contributions early and anything you can do to prepare the photographs so they do not require additional adjustment would be much appreciated. Especially keeping them near 1000 pix in longest dimension and 200Kb in maximum size. Large images that run off the edges of average monitors are a pain. Larger is not always better!
Please take an extra minute to abide by this request but if you have doubts about how to prepare images just send them anyway and the capable gallery staff will adjust them for exhibition.
Did you know you could have a series exhibition? Learn all about it on the instructions page mentioned above.
