...since the last volume?  I'll go for that.
That's 4 years according to my books.  That should be enough to have produced a half-decent picture, shouldn't?

We only get a month for sending you the files? I’ll probably spend 29 days messing with my typography. Not really. I’ll spend 29 days messing with pictures.

Can I assume that all images must be taken after the publication date of the last volume? I think that should be added to the rules.

Preliminary guidelines for participating in the 2015 PhotoForum members’ catalog.

The collection of members' photographs is planned to be printed in a 9x7 inch (landscape) softcover book. Each member is assigned two pages. One page will carry a photograph that may be a single image or one made up of several photographs. The author can lay out the page as they see fit if made up of more than one image but must submit a single image on a white background so it can easily be laid into the photo page. Or separate images but with a layout photo to assist in final placement into a given page. The contributed photograph (whether single or made up of several images) should have a size of about 3000 pixels in the longest dimension. RGB, JPEG and compressed to HIGH quality - maximum not necessary.

The photograph should be accompanied by a text document that includes such things as the autor's name, photo or sequence title, a statement about the photograph(s) if desired, a brief biography including country of "practice" (if desired), email and website (if applicable)

Text for the text page should not be a lengthy discourse as space is limited. Just keep in mind how big a 9x7 inch page is (consider borders take up space) and prepare text accordingly. Font size I think is 12 pt. (It may be 10 ... suggestions?) Last time we used Times I believe. I personally like fairly non-obtrusive fonts. (suggestions?)

Text font will be uniform throughout the book although if you want a specific font you must supply the text laid out and designed as you would like it to be.

In general it is my belief that email programs these days can accommodate image files of size such as referred to above. They should be mailed along with the text files as attachments to Andrew Davidhazy at andpph@xxxxxxx with the word PHOTOS (in caps).

Finally, since this is preliminary suggestions that do not place significant time demands on the person preparing the catalog will be read and evaluated but final decisions will be made possibly not incorporating any given suggestion. It is anticipated that not everyone can be accommodated. Please be understanding.

The deadline for receiving contributions will be the last day of February 2015 at midnight EST. The list of interested members is below. Anyone else that wishes to participate should make that known on the list or send a private message to Andrew Davidhazy at andpph@xxxxxxx.
