It seems like Hadrian’s Wall gets all the press and the Antonine wall is all but invisible to the fortifications tourist. I’ve driven the length of Hadrian’s Wall and shot parts of it, and in places it was impressive. The quarry was great albeit filled with water.
We do have Hadrian's Wall, and the Antonine Wall in England and Scotland respectively ! Dan. On 15 Jan 2015, at 16:22, Jan Faul <jan@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
This is a repeat as the first version seems to have disappeared in RIT listserv land.
A photographic question:
If I wanted to complement the ‘Atlantic Wall’ of the 1940’s with photographs of British locations, what and where in Britain should I shoot as there is no de facto British ‘Atlantic Wall’? There might have been a reason to build one, but that’s another question. So hypothetically speaking, what should I shoot? Do the Brits on this list have any ideas?
