Hi!
I sometimes recall the trip with Pini.
It was very nice, albeit 2-3 weeks too early - the red-and-yellow
period was not on yet.
About "Likes" - its really creepy when someone shares e.g. some
war or hunger event and all the friends want to show their
compassion and click "Like" when 24000 people have died or
similar. Something else should be there in the options.
But anyway - even if I'm not sending in my work (as one old
colleague from Canada mentioned - it is almost always either fire
or snow :) )
I usually check the Gallery and read the discussions.
Nice large sledge with muscled Rudolph to everyone!

Hi,
Me too present here for most years this forum exist.
I learnt a lot from the mails and critiques of the
“gallery” images.
At those years it was not so easy, I shoot films /
slides and did not have my own scanner.
I quite hate the social media for this purpose.
A real photographer need / want to read pros and
cons points about his work and not only “Like”. ( and “Dislike”
is not exist!)
And, for being “social” one have to put “Like” on
his friend’s photos even if they do not deserve it.
I am also very proud about the “projects” we have
done here, like the two books, postcards and “Pass the camera”!
It was great !
I even did a private project by traveling to another
member: Peeter Visak and were traveling together across his
country: Estonia.
Andy, keep this precious work as far as you can. +/-
20 years I don’t see another place to be on this vast digital
world.
Happy holidays for all of you,
Pini Vollach

The gallery wasnt added
until 1998. So you can remeber the gallery
before it was added to the list.

According to the rules of
arithmetic I learned as a child, 2014
- 20 = 1994. Were the starting year to
be 1998, this wouldn't be the 20th

know when he started it.

The gallery
didnt start until 1998 I believe.

I don't usually wish people
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah,

to the believers.
Happy New Year to the rest!

Maybe also in yours! The gallery
is a couple of years younger and
it took up Friday night or
Saturday morning time getting
the “show” together. 18 years of
Saturday mornings. The
expectation was that it would be
a useful adjunct to the list
chatter.

made PhotoForum less relevant I

this activity going for as long
as it serves a useful purpose.
