| Ahem, I guess I have a review. Bah humbug. Me - California Diesel The only odd thing to note is that between the time I shot this and now, SFO decided to put all the power lines underground, so hours of spotting is no longer needed although it was good practice. The signs changed too, so now the building has few words on it. Klaus Knuth - Railway Museum As it happens, I was there when this shot was made. I don’t understand why Klaus shot this entire car rather than focusing on some of the details. It has a lot of interesting details and textures and could have been a nicer shot. If I were a client, I would demand a reshoot. Lea Murphy - KC skyline I like it, but I’ll bet it would look really incredible shot on digital MF like a Mamiya-Leaf 80MB combo. It seems a bit blurry, but that may be due to a compressed jpg used here, or of course atmospheric distortion. I’m glad it has sold well. Tina Manley - The Shepard I have an inherent dislike of photographers who insist on going to loctions with brown-skinned citizens to make photos of subjects the rest of us see as ‘3rd-world’ or impoverished. I’ll bet there is a whale of a lot of other things to shoot in Peru which have nothing to do with brown-skinned people. At least there was when I was there. Yoram Gelman - Swing / Field This is the best shot of the week. It’s got depth and balance, and it leads the eye into a mysterious bunch of clouds behind the tree plus I’m sure it reminds some of us of a time in our childhood. Bob McCulloch - The Wall I wish this was shot on a tripod, a MF camera, and a wee bit darker around the trees in the background. This is the kind of shot I like to take albeit on a tripod, on film, and with huge DOF in a camera which focuses. F32 is nice, and f45 is nicer. Laurenz Bobke - Hedgehog Last time I saw a hedgehog it was running away from me as fast as I was running away from it. Nice shot with good balance. Jan
