Are these examples supposed to be "art" ? Most seem nearer the Emperors New Clothes - only the final item comes near my definition of something "artistic" - but them I'm told even an unmade bed is ART - gosh !


If you agree with me that that etymologically 'art' means 'skill' , 'the craft' or something made aperson of skill , then you need only ask yourself of professed artists - 'does this appear to be the product of a skilled person?'


NB. I did not suggest to look for deranged, driven , enthusiastic , well meaning, happy, sad, depressed, personable, intense, well dressed, loud, opinionated, brash, shy, cute, foppish, vain, conceited, well endowed, empty, myopic .. just skilled.
