Pray and spray doesnt usually get you the great shot. See the guy whos Olympic shots are so amazing some still with a speed graphic and is 1d but still nailing his beast shots with the 4x5.

They are not supposed to either if they work for a paper or a magazine, trying to maintain its documentary public image. They just hope that one of those 1000+ frames turns out to be a winner.
