Y'all

The atmosphere on the list would much pleasanter if name calling and derogatory comments were nixed at the source. Staff away at a photo teachers and students conference in Austin.

Thank you

It’s never about other photographers? Like who, you?

The way to store Polaroids is in nitrogen. Why? I guess to prevent them from fading, etc. and if not that, I have no idea.

Notice how the Time piece on MOMA instantly triggered our two Nasty Narcissists to point out they have stuff at MOMA? Stuff in a nitrogen box, no less? It's never about OTHER photographers, oh no, only about them. It's getting ridiculous.

I wonder if he is A: going to show my little Polaroid of the Dalai lama’s chair, translator, and Dalai himself and B: I wonder how much noise Mr Sharpe and others will squeal and moan about me even mentioning the print which probably also resides in a nitrogen box.

He is the first non-American to hold what is widely considered one of the most influential positions in the photography world, succeeding just four others in the museum’s 83-year history — Peter Galassi, John Szarkowski, Edward Steichen and Beaumont Newhall. Here, he writes for LightBox about some of the motivation behind his inaugural exhibition at MoMA, opening February 8, 2014."
