Try anywhere rural in Appalachia. I shot there in the 1970’s and a few years ago drove around some of my old stomping grounds to find that the only substantive changes were the vehicles. Nobody drove a ’53 Chevy truck any more and hardly anybody carried pistols on the+ir front seats either. If you need a rural location in Appalachia, call up the Editor or Appalachian Regional Commission and speak to Public Relations. They are all at 1660 Conn Ave NW, DC where they have been since I worked for them. Everybody I knew is either retired or in the ground.
