I did nothing ... I did noooothing ... like Schultz used to say in Hogan's Heroes.

In the morning I turned camera on and the problem was no longer a problem!

of course I don't know if the fix is permanent or temporary or intermittent which 

is a problem in itself. But I am not sending the camera for servicing just now.
