Hope you got the messageIn a message dated 6/17/2013 1:51:03 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, andpph@xxxxxxx writes:FYI - the PhotoForum list has 324 individuals who receive every message as posted, 151 who receive daily digests and 49 who do not receive postings. The total is 524.
I should like to reiterate an item that was mentioned by a list member not too long ago and it has to do with treating other members with consideration and respect.
The objective is be an open forum for the free exchange and sharing of information for the benefit of its members. The list is not moderated and it depends on the good will and civility of its members to maintain a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
Please consider the content of your postings to reflect a considerate, caring and helpful attitude. There is no point in belittling any of the members of the list. There are a wide variety of expertise and backgrounds on the list. Before posting you might direct your posting to yourself and see how it reads when addressed to you. For example: If "You don't know what you are talking about" might be what you are about to post think about it for a second. How you like such a statement to be directed at you. Would you like to be told that? I admit this is a far out example but sensitivities vary among people and there is no point in being dismissive of other members.
Take this as only one person's opinion. It is my opinion. It might be "elementary" but it makes for a more pleasant and constructive and cooperative atmosphere here and in other situations as well.
Thank you,
